I take an early morning drive through the countryside and am captivated by what I see. The sun is already crossing the golden hour and gently shining through the thick fog that is spreading across the fields around me. It trickles down into the valley I am driving through and all the beauty that has always fascinated me about the play of light awakens me to the present.
In the moment, inspiration visited me again. I began to contemplate the question of how to capture this feeling, this beauty. How could I capture the light in a painting? I want something more than white paint on a canvas.
Then ideas started flying through my head about how to create something similar. I remembered my earlier experiments with resin and figured I could add some type of light source. About a month later, the day saw the first light of my new works, which I called Lightwork.
